Sigh. I miss Haiti.
And this is Ellie and one of the little kids from the village where we went to install a water pump.
This is me and my dearest Ellie (: and…a spoon.
Thought this was interesting to put up even though I have plenty of these.
There came love out of all brokenness.

Again, you guys already know I like being behind the camera. But here, I really wanted to pretend that my camera wasn’t working so I can focus more on the kids! Those kids are adorable and I really wish I brought them back!
You can continue on with your daily excuses, your daily regrets, even your daily annoyances. You can even look at this picture and debate that you can’t do anything about it or that you can careless. Maybe donating will help you feel better…or even a slight move of emotions. But sadly, this is the reality of your thinking and sorry if I come across as judgmental, I am just afraid of what might happen to these children or to those all over the world. I just want to reassure their safety and health and that is impossible for me. All we have left is hope and I’ll always stress that.
The kids at the orphanage were angels. I loved each and every one of them. What saddens me are the conditions that they live in but no matter what, their heart will make up for every loss in their appearance. I just pray they’ll stay healthy but the odds are against me. I’m going back soon and this time I may need a hand.
Self note: I know Haiti is not the only poor country in the world but if we keep saying that then surely nothing has changed.
Water is scarce there and whatever water they have has already been processed through trash, human waste and many other diseased centered factors.
Even local water supplies were restricted since they have to make the best of what they have so when we allowed this poor child to play with the water for some footage, it actually stopped us in our tracks knowing that this little kid is holding every inch of her breath just to take up every second of the replenishing water.
It’s that bad. Hope is not waiting for change, it’s the change you make to keep it.
